Migratory Data
2024 web
This web installation explores the parallel between modern bird tracking and digital surveillance. I wanted to invite the user to contemplate their position within today’s vast ecosystem of data collection.

This website utilizes two interconnected windows. By displaying bird migration data on the primary window while mirroring the user's own digital footprint on the other, I hope to create an interactive metaphor for tracking behaviors.

The second section uses data of tracked birds from the American Audubon Society. The user can select from the three birds to learn more about their migration behavior and route. The pages are color coded based on the chosen birds’ feather.

The third section is about bird’s flocking behavior.

The ending of the experience is when the users reaches the about page of this website, their entire mouse behavior, the moments when they linger on somewhere, are displayed all together with time.
